Internship Program (Engineering Students)
The internship program at Saleen offers unmatched experience to engineering students that will help them for a career in the automotive industry. Engineering students will be able to learn practical experience through the engineering internship as a junior engineer. The junior engineer will be assigned a senior engineer as a mentor, who they can ask questions and seek engineering advice. At the end of the internship the student will be given a performance review to critique their strengths and weaknesses as a junior engineer. Our internship program is only available to juniors and seniors students enrolled in a BSME program at a top 25 accredited University. Skills that we require are: CAD, Unigraphics NX, SAE programs such as Future Truck and Formula SAE, and practical experience. Internships are unpaid.
Co-Op Program (Engineering Students)
The Co-Op Program (Kettering University) is a, 3 months on – 3 months off, rotation between school and work. This is a year-round program and results in three work terms each year. For Saleen, this means that as one Intern returns to school another Intern returns to work until the Intern has fulfilled their 3 terms. After serving their 3 terms and graduating from college they will be considered for full-time employment at Saleen should a position become available that fits their degree and training.
